Gallagher Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga has announced his 21-man squad for the upcoming 2023 Pacific Championships, which begins on October 14.
The squad includes five debutants and eight players who have previously reached the grand finals.
The Cowboys website, cowboys.com.au, reported the news.
Among the debutants are four rookies from the Broncos - Selwyn Cobbo, Payne Haas, Thomas Flegler, and Kotoni Staggs.
They will be joined by their teammate Patrick Carrigan.
The squad also features three-time premiership-winners Nathan Cleary, Isaah Yeo, and Liam Martin, who were all part of the Kangaroos' successful World Cup campaign last year.
Another debutant in the squad is Dolphins fullback Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, who played at centre for Queensland in their State of Origin series win earlier this year.
James Tedesco will continue to captain the side, with his Roosters teammate Lindsay Collins as his vice-captain.
Dragons captain Ben Hunt is expected to share the hooking role with Storm's Harry Grant, just as they did in last year's World Cup.
Meninga expressed his satisfaction with the squad selection, stating that it includes a good mix of experienced players and those who have performed well for their clubs and states in 2023.
