Chief executive George has confirmed centre Adam Pompey is expected to leave the Warriors for 2026.
Speculation has linked Pompey with Melbourne Storm, while an official announcement is expected shortly.
"We're just finalising it all and the club will make a formal announcement about that today or tomorrow. But yes, that looks to be the case," George told Sport Nation's Scotty & Izzy.
Pompey has made 136 NRL appearances across eight seasons in Auckland, including 17 matches during this year's finals push.
He debuted for the Warriors in 2019, playing five games, after spending 2017 and 2018 in the Sydney Roosters system.
His opportunities increased during the COVID-19 affected 2020 and 2021 seasons.
Pompey will join departing high-profile players Luke Metcalf, bound for the Dragons, and Mitchell Barnett, who is heading to the Broncos.
