Arthur's Leeds fate: A month of waiting game

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

Brad Arthur's future with the Leeds Rhinos is set to be determined within the next month, as his position hinges on his ability to secure another job in the NRL.

After being dismissed by the Parramatta Eels last season due to poor performances, Arthur transitioned to the Super League to coach Leeds.

His arrival followed a difficult period at Parramatta, where the team fell to the bottom of the table, despite having reached the NRL Grand Final two years prior.

Currently contracted with the Rhinos until the end of the season, an update on Arthur's situation has been shared.

Leeds Rhinos Sporting Director Ian Blease stated, "I think within the next month or so we need - me and him - to have a professional, honest and open conversation.

What's it looking like - because I'm looking at 2027 for recruitment now." This highlights the urgency of the decision regarding Arthur's future as the club is looking ahead to its long-term plans.
