Thrown under the bus: Annesley fesses up to missed call in ditching Roosters try
The head honcho of footy at the NRL, Graham Annesley, has taken one for the team and revealed that the decision to scrap a try for the Sydney Roosters on Thursday night was a foul play.

In the first half of the game, Joseph Manu looked to have notched up the Roosters' first try of the match, after watching the Panthers sprint off to an early lead with a couple of quick tries.

However, the bunker stepped in and reversed the call due to an obstruction.

Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, playing the role of a decoy, had managed to slip past the defensive line, but was ultimately ruled to have interfered with Penrith's fullback, Dylan Edwards, as he tried to swoop in for a last-ditch tackle.

The decision left the commentators scratching their heads, as Edwards was nowhere near the action and wasn't even part of the defensive line when the incident occurred.
