Angus Crichton has thrown a line out there, hinting that Sam Walker may just be donning the Roosters jersey for a bit longer, mate.

The young halfback has been spotted eyeing up some real estate down in the Harbour City, suggesting he's keen to stay put for a while longer.

The chatter around Walker's future has been as loud as a roaring crowd at the Grand Final, with rumors swirling that he's keen to extend his contract and keep on making magic happen on the field until at least 2027.

Despite a nasty injury that will see him sidelined at the start of the 2025 season, clubs up north are still circling like hungry sharks, hoping to snag a player of his attacking prowess.

But it seems like the Roosters are sitting pretty in the scrum, with Crichton urging his mate to seal the deal sooner rather than later.

"I'm not about to spill the beans, but I can tell you this - Sam's been scoping out digs in Sydney.

That's gotta be a good sign, right?" Crichton cheekily remarked from across the ditch in Kiwi country.

"I've taken Sam under my wing since he rocked up to the club as a fresh-faced teenager.

We've formed a solid bond on and off the field, and I reckon we'd all be chuffed to see him stay put."

So, it looks like the Roosters may just score the winning try in the battle to keep young Walker in their nest.
