Andie caps stunning comeback from injury with inaugural 'Dogs award
As she approaches her last match in a season where she participated in every NRLW game for the Bulldogs, Andie Robinson reflects on an incredibly tough chapter in her life marked by a significant injury that kept her off the field for 18 months.
Scheduled to play as fullback against the Eels at CommBank Stadium on Friday night, Robinson has also achieved the honor of being the inaugural winner of Canterbury's NRLW Player of the Year award.
A former Under-19s Blues representative, Robinson has been recognized for her immense potential from a young age. However, her aspirations were jeopardized when a meniscus tear during the 2023 season left her questioning whether she would ever step on the field again.
Initially expected to be sidelined for four months, Robinson's recovery turned into a protracted absence of nearly a year and a half, culminating in her missing the entire 2024 season while with the Cronulla Sharks.
