A roaring performance from Daeon Amituanai led the Penrith Panthers to a decisive 30-6 victory over the Western Suburbs Magpies at Lidcombe Oval in Round 17.

Right from the get-go, the Panthers showed their claws, with winger Amituanai striking first just three minutes into the game, finding the try line in the right corner.

Mid-season addition Asu Kepaoa then made his mark on the opposite side, followed by winger Nick Murphy punishing the Magpies' defense with another try on the right edge.

Despite unsuccessful conversion attempts, the Panthers held a 12-0 lead.

Halfback Zack Lamont showcased his skills with a brilliant solo effort for a try, while Amituanai continued to shine with a first-half double, giving the Panthers a commanding 20-0 advantage at halftime.

The visitors dominated the opening half, scoring five unanswered tries.

Western Suburbs' Declan Casey added some spark for his team in the second half, scoring from dummy-half to narrow the gap to 14 points.

However, the Panthers quickly regained control, with Mavrik Geyer breaking through the Magpies' defense and setting up Tyrone Peachey for another try.

The Panthers' dominant performance was a testament to their skill and determination, as they outplayed their opponents in all aspects of the game.

With Amituanai leading the charge and the team firing on all cylinders, the Panthers showed why they are a force to be reckoned with in the Rugby League arena.
