In a surprising turn of events, Broncos icon Allan Langer has finally spoken out about his decision to make a major move within the club.

Langer, a true legend of Brisbane NRL with 258 games and four premierships under his belt, had previously expressed his desire to bleed maroon and gold for life.

However, in the midst of a chaotic off-season that saw his close mate Kevin Walters ousted as head coach and Michael Maguire taking the reins, the 58-year-old felt it was the right time to shake things up.

The emotional blow of Walters' departure reportedly hit Langer hard, leaving him feeling "shattered" and contemplating his future as a trainer for the club.

Having been a frontrunner for Immortal status, Langer made the tough call to switch things up and take on a new role within the Broncos.

With his passion for the game and unwavering dedication to the club, it's clear that Langer's decision was made with the team's best interests at heart.
