Alamoti determined to repay the faith after earning shock recall

Panthers winger Paul Alamoti has expressed his commitment to repay coach Ivan Cleary following his unexpected selection for the finals series.

The 21-year-old made an unforeseen appearance on the lineup for last week's elimination final against the Warriors and has once again been chosen over Tom Jenkins for the semi-final against the Bulldogs this Sunday.

Despite Jenkins having a commendable season, Alamoti brings valuable experience in crucial matches, having been among the standout players in last year's grand final triumph.

The young winger regarded the Round 26 matchup as a chance to showcase his worth to the NRL team and seized the opportunity effectively.

Although Penrith lost that game, Alamoti managed to score a try and played a key role in driving an inexperienced Panthers squad to challenge the Bulldogs.
