I stuffed up big time': NAS promises to sort out aggression as Storm colossus sets the record straight on future
The big fella Nelson Asofa-Solomona showed his class on the footy field on Thursday and then cleared the air on all the rumors swirling around him.
News outlets are buzzing about the Storm behemoth Asofa-Solomona speaking out about a rough few weeks that saw him dropped to the reserve grade team, with whispers circulating that he might be let go from the final three years of his contract.
The 28-year-old Kiwi sensation is a true powerhouse in the world of rugby league, but he only just made his season debut on Thursday night against the Roosters after a stint in the NSW Cup.
Asofa-Solomona shared how he struggled with hamstring injuries three times during a frustrating pre-season, leading to speculation that he wasn't up to scratch to meet the Storm's high standards.
This prompted the towering 2m giant to take to Instagram to clear the air about his fitness.
"When it comes down to it, I can only control what I can control.
I can't stop what people are saying on the outside.
The only thing I can do is play good footy and let my actions speak for themselves," he stated after making his comeback off the bench in the 18-12 victory over the Roosters.
"It's a shame that in this day and age, that kind of stuff gets attention.
As long as the people who matter to me and are part of my inner circle know the truth, that's what really counts.
