After copping a serve from Broncos legend Gorden Tallis for allegedly not backing his coach in the wake of a disappointing season, Brisbane skipper Adam Reynolds has fired back.

The Broncos, who came agonizingly close to claiming the NRL premiership last year, now find themselves out of finals contention after a dismal loss to the Dolphins.

The pressure has been building on coach Kevin Walters, with the team missing the playoffs in three of his four years at the helm.

Tallis, who knows Walters well from their playing days together, shifted the blame onto Reynolds, accusing the halfback of not publicly supporting his coach when the going got tough.

"I called out Adam Reynolds," Tallis declared on Triple M's Sin Bin program.

"Kevvie had his back, but now that the heat is on, it's been radio silence from Reynolds...just crickets.

"It was a real test of loyalty, mate."

Despite the criticism, Reynolds has declared his full support for Walters, insisting that they are all in this together and are focused on bouncing back stronger next season.

In typical footy fashion, he's not letting the pressure get to him, ready to rally the troops and push through the tough times.

With their sights set on redemption in 2025, the Broncos will be looking to put this disappointing season behind them and come back stronger than ever.

As they say in Rugby League, it's all about getting back up after being knocked down, and that's exactly what Reynolds and his teammates intend to do.
