Australian comedian and TV personality Adam Hills is set to take the reins as the next president of the Rugby Football League, stepping into the shoes of Sir Lindsay Hoyle.

Known for his passion for physical disability rugby league, Hills has not only been a vocal supporter but has also laced up his boots for both Warrington and the Australian national team.

With a knack for entertaining audiences on Channel 4's Super League coverage and The Last Leg, where he joins forces with Alex Brooker and Josh Widdicombe, the 54-year-old brings his unique blend of humor and charisma to the pitch as he gears up for his new role.

Hills' candidacy was put forward at the recent Rugby League Council meeting, with his formal election expected to take place in December for a two-year term.

Embracing all facets of the game, from grassroots community teams to the women's and men's leagues, Hills is determined to give a voice to every player and fan.

"He's the real deal, a true champion of physical disability rugby league since its inception in 2018," a source close to the RFL commented, highlighting Hills' genuine commitment to the sport.

As he prepares to lead the league into a new era, fans can expect a president who will bring his own brand of wit and passion to the table, ensuring that Rugby League continues to thrive and grow under his guidance.
