Academy Girls Link with NRLW Stars for Saturday Session

The St George Illawarra Dragons recently organized a minicamp where 16 talented players from the club's Junior Development Academy collaborated with NRLW stars.

The participants, who are standout athletes from the Tarsha Gale Cup and Lisa Fiaola Cup, gathered on Friday evening for a video session led by NRLW Head Coach Nathan Cross, followed by a group dinner and an overnight stay at Sage Hotel Wollongong.

The next morning, the young athletes were introduced to the club's NRLW squad and engaged in a field training session.

The players involved included Halle Barrett, Ella Churchill, Carolina Cook, Holly Czornobej, Ella Greatz, Michala Hardy, Tahanni Kaufusi, Kiara Kostovski, Charli Pitstock, Monique Marshall, Charlotte Nicolson, Georgia Porter, Ruby Seitula, Skye Spencer, Armani Tanioria, and Billie Va'a.

Coaches from the St George and Illawarra junior representative systems, such as Sam Saadat, Renee Targett, Pricilla Younes, and Brad Reh, were also present to provide support and guidance during the event.

This initiative not only allowed the academy girls to hone their skills but also to gain valuable insights from experienced NRLW players and coaches.
