Abbas Miski, the player who replaced Bevan French on Wigan's right flank, has proven himself as a top try-scorer this season.

Miski scored his 28th try of the season in Wigan's victory against Hull KR, surpassing Tom Johnstone.

This is Miski's first year as a top-flight player, making his achievement all the more impressive.

Miski attributes his success to his constant improvement year after year.

He has been working on his craft, focusing on areas that may go unnoticed by others, such as kick chase and effort areas.

Miski acknowledges the competition within the team and patiently waited for his chance to shine.

Both Wigan and Catalans, the two teams in the Grand Final, have had an outstanding season, winning 20 out of their 27 regular season games and scoring the same number of points.

Miski's contribution to Wigan's attack, which averaged 27 points per game, has been crucial.

However, it is his defensive prowess that has solidified his place in the starting XIII.

Wigan coach Matty Peet has shown great trust in Miski, assigning him the responsibility of sealing up the opposition's left side every week.

Miski credits Peet and assistant coach Sean O'Loughlin for their guidance in improving his defensive reads and positioning.

While Miski may not score as many spectacular tries as other top wingers, his consistency and ability to finish off plays make him an invaluable asset to the team.

Standing shorter and stockier than some of his counterparts, Miski's playing style resembles that of Josh Charnley or Ryan Hall.

As Wigan faces Catalans in the Grand Final, Miski's contribution will be crucial in helping his team secure victory.
