ROOSTERS GREAT LANDS NEW GIG, COMES BACK TO THE NEST
Sydney Roosters legend Mitchell Aubusson has scored himself a swanky new gig with his old crew, making a triumphant return to Bondi.
Hanging up his boots in 2020 after a stellar career of 306 top-flight matches and three premiership victories in 2013, 2018, and 2019, Aubusson solidified his status as a club icon and a fan favorite from 2007 to 2020.
Formerly the Roosters' most-capped player until Jared Waerea-Hargreaves took the reins, the versatile NRL star has now secured a fresh role off the field.
As reported by The Herald, Aubusson has been appointed as the club's Director of Rugby League, a position akin to that of the legendary Phil Gould at the Canterbury Bulldogs.
In this new capacity, Aubusson will be in cahoots with Nick Politis, the Chairman of the Roosters' Board of Directors, acting as the go-between for him and head honcho Trent Robinson across the NRL, NRLW, and junior league setups.
