A Rugby League veteran from the golden year of 2005, when the NRL premiership was their's for the taking, is rumored to be eyeing a comeback to the Wests Tigers.

This former teammate of the Tigers' current coach, Benji Marshall, may be the missing piece they need to turn their luck around.

As the Tigers search for a new assistant coach to fill the void left by the departure of club legend Robbie Farah, the team is desperate to claw their way up from the bottom of the ladder after four long years of disappointment.

They are eager to shake things up and bring in some fresh faces to change their fortunes.

Reports from The Daily Telegraph suggest that one potential candidate for the coaching role is none other than the Tigers' former fullback, Brett Hodgson.

Hodgson, who once played alongside Marshall, has coaching experience at both the Tigers and Hull FC in the Super League.

He has even worked with the likes of Eddie Jones in the world of rugby union with the Australian and English national teams.

Could Hodgson's return to the Tigers be the spark they need to reignite their winning ways? Only time will tell if this Rugby League veteran can help guide the Tigers back to their former glory.
