Young playmaker Lyhkan King-Togia has signed a contract extension with the Dragons, reportedly set to replace Lachlan Ilias in the halves for Saturday's crucial Magic Round match against the Wests Tigers.
The 19-year-old has excelled in the NSW Cup, recently assisting three tries in his team's 30-point victory over the Sea Eagles.
King-Togia's consistent performance has earned him a new two-year deal, allowing him to join the club's top 30 squad in 2026.
After showing promise in four NRL matches towards the end of last season, King-Togia is poised to return to first grade this weekend in Brisbane, as Ilias is expected to be dropped following a shaky start at his new club.
Dragons coach Shane Flanagan commented, "Locking down Lyhkan for another couple of seasons is exciting for the club.
He got a taste of first grade at the end of last year and has been playing good footy to start this season for the NSW Cup team."
