Viking clap sparks faith in Vegas

Vegas, baby! It's been a solid five days, but finally, the metaphorical lightbulb switched on for me.

Canberra Times are dishing the dirt on this turning point.

Talk about irony - with all the flashy lights, neon signs, and LEDs, Vegas shines brighter than a decorated Christmas tree all day, every day.

The NRL fan event on Fremont Street was a sight to behold.

With a whopping 10,000 league lovers packed into the lively street, the atmosphere was electric.

And for once, it wasn't just the Brits stirring up a storm.

It felt like a proper NRL grand final bash as each team strutted through the sea of fans to take the spotlight.

The first-ever Viking clap in Vegas added some extra pep, setting the stage for the big showdown on Sunday - the Canberra Raiders facing off against the New Zealand Warriors at Allegiant Stadium.

Up until now, I had my doubts.

Sure, Sin City is a spectacle in itself.

Jetting off to the Grand Canyon West was a real treat, a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

But after witnessing the hype and excitement building up to the game, I'm officially a believer in the Vegas magic.
