Storm ready to lock in Papenhuyzen's future

The Melbourne Storm recently secured the services of rising star fullback Sua Fa'alogo until 2028, sparking speculation about the future of current fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen.

However, reports suggest that a rival NRL team is preparing to offer Papenhuyzen a new three-year contract, potentially ending the uncertainty surrounding his future.

Despite facing injury setbacks in the last two years, Papenhuyzen has gathered over 80 NRL appearances and is currently tied to the Storm until 2025.

The talented fullback is eligible to negotiate with other clubs starting November 1, leading to rumors of a possible return to Sydney with the Parramatta Eels.

While the Eels and other teams show interest in Papenhuyzen, the Storm is reportedly ready to present him with a three-year contract extension to keep him in Melbourne until 2028.

This move aims to secure their dynamic player and solidify their lineup for the foreseeable future, as reported by The Sydney Morning Herald.
