The Tigers suffered ill-discipline while the Roosters picked up a fresh injury worry.

The Roosters put on a dazzling display as they trounced the Tigers 40-6, but the victory was overshadowed by a devastating injury to a star player.

In a match where the Roosters' Origin stars backed up for coach Trent Robinson's 300th NRL game, the Tricolours made easy work of Benji Marshall's squad, who found themselves with two players in the sin bin.

Skipper Api Koroisau was shown the red card for a lifting tackle, followed by Adam Doueihi for a hip drop tackle.

However, the real blow came when powerhouse centre Joey Manu left the field with a suspected fractured hand in the first half.

The game kicked off with Dominic Young scoring the first try of the match with some lightning speed down the wing, before adding another just minutes later.

Despite the win, the Roosters will be keeping a close eye on Manu's injury as they move forward in the season.
