Canberra Raiders coach Ricky Stuart was fuming after his team's lacklustre performance on Friday night against the Cowboys, declaring "Think we're trying to lose" to the media.

The Green Machine were booed off by their own fans at halftime, trailing 22-0 before eventually falling 34-16 to the North Queensland side.

After coming off the bye, the Raiders looked rusty and failed to hit their stride in the match.

The home fans made their displeasure known as they booed their team off the field.

It was a disappointing display, especially considering the Cowboys had been thrashed by the Warriors just the week before.

Despite the loss, the Raiders had opportunities to score but were denied by some stout defending from the Cowboys.

The low attendance of 9,671 fans at the 6pm Friday game didn't help lift the team's spirits either.

It was a tough night for the Raiders, as they struggled to find their rhythm on the field.
