Canberra Raiders duo Hudson Young and Morgan Smithies have issued a mea culpa for their Las Vegas hotel "fracas" which resulted in a brief expulsion from the premises.

The pair, known for their prowess on the field, found themselves in a heated exchange following a night out when a hotel room snafu left one of them without accommodations.

Security was promptly summoned to handle the situation, leading to the temporary removal of the sporting stars.

Facing the media in Vegas, Young and Smithies, both hailed as international talents, took responsibility for the incident and expressed regret.

"I want to make amends for the events of Thursday night.

It was simply not up to par," Young remarked.

"The NRL puts in extensive effort and resources into this sport.

It's a fantastic environment to be a part of here in Vegas and a great sight to behold," he added.
