NRL legend Les Boyd has hit back at Darryl Brohman's criticism of his Hall of Fame induction, reigniting a feud that dates back four decades.
Boyd, known for his tough playing style during his glory days in the late 70s and early 80s, brushed off Brohman's comments with a blunt response, saying "I couldn't give a toss".
The former Australian Test star, who also represented NSW in Origin clashes, was among a group of esteemed players set to be immortalized in the NRL Hall of Fame this season.
Joining Boyd in this prestigious group are the likes of Lionel Morgan, Ben Elias, and a slew of other rugby league greats.
The tension between Boyd and Brohman stems from a infamous incident during a State of Origin match in 1983, where Boyd's aggressive play resulted in Brohman suffering a serious injury.
The strain in their relationship has lingered on for years, with Brohman not holding back when it comes to criticizing Boyd's achievements in the sport.
But for Boyd, none of it seems to faze him, as he remains nonchalant and focused on his own journey in the world of rugby league.
With his induction into the Hall of Fame, Boyd's legacy as a formidable player cannot be denied, regardless of any past controversies or feuds.
