Laurie Daley makes call on new State of Origin captain as Craig Bellamy spills beans on NSW role

NSW coach Laurie Daley is uncertain about whether Jake Trbojevic will continue as the Blues captain in 2025, as he focuses on finalizing the squad before naming a skipper.

Craig Bellamy has joined the Blues as Daley's advisor, aiming to build on Michael Maguire's success last year.

Despite leading NSW to a series win, there are calls to replace Trbojevic as captain due to his limited game time in the previous series.

Ricky Stuart suggested Nathan Cleary or Isaah Yeo as potential long-term captains.

Trbojevic himself is unsure about his future as captain but remains committed to representing NSW.

Daley, while attending the NRL's season-opening games, emphasized the need to select the squad before deciding on the captain, stating, "You can never anticipate anything in this game."
