Morgan Harper, the former Bulldog, Sea Eagle, and Eel center, has inked a new deal that will see him back in the NRL spotlight for the 2025 season.
Reports from zerotackle.com confirm that Harper, last seen in action with the Parramatta Eels, has secured a lifeline in the league and will don the jersey of the New Zealand Warriors in the upcoming season, starting with an exciting Round 1 clash in Las Vegas against the Canberra Raiders.
Securing this new deal meant bidding adieu to the North Sydney Bears, as Harper made a swift exit after inking a deal with the NSW Cup team during the offseason.
"It's always tough to see a player of Morgan's caliber leave the 2025 squad, but it's all part and parcel of the player pathway," said Gareth Holmes, CEO of the North Sydney Bears, acknowledging the cyclical nature of player recruitment in the league.
"the talent scouts work tirelessly to unearth the finest prospects, and it's no surprise that NRL clubs came knocking for someone as talented as Morgan Harper," Holmes added, showcasing the bittersweet reality of the sporting world.
