Nicho Hynes has come forward to set the record straight regarding his alleged confession about Brad Fittler following the controversial State of Origin match.
Despite the outcry from many supporters who believed Hynes should have been chosen as the starting five-eighth over Jarome Luai, Fittler remained steadfast in his decision and instead named Hynes on the bench.
However, during the dying moments of Game I, Hynes was substituted in as a centre and unfortunately missed a crucial tackle, allowing Queensland to score a try.
Fittler opted for Mitchell Moses as the number seven in the subsequent game, while Cody Walker replaced the dropped Luai as the number six for Game III.
Following these changes, reports began circulating that Hynes' relationship with Fittler had soured due to the decision-making process.
However, the talented Cronulla halfback has denied such claims and maintains a positive rapport with the New South Wales coach.
