The pressure is well and truly on at the Broncos as they fight to keep their finals dreams alive, and coach Kevin Walters didn't hold back in defending his position amidst the speculation.

With Brisbane struggling to replicate last year's grand final success and currently sitting in 13th place after a tough losing streak during the Origin period, Walters is feeling the heat.

The Broncos were mere moments away from claiming the premiership last season, but now find themselves on the brink of missing out on finals footy for the third time in four years under Walters' leadership.

Facing questions about his future if the Broncos can't secure a win against the Titans on Saturday, Walters responded with a fiery determination.

"I am not even going to entertain that.

That is absurd," Walters exclaimed.

"Who is criticizing us? They haven't seen the hard work we're putting in here.

It's a foolish question.

Unless you're in the trenches with us day in and day out, you can't truly understand what we're dealing with."

Walters also made it clear that Adam Reynolds would continue to lead the team as captain, highlighting his belief in the team's leadership and determination to turn their season around.

Time will tell if the Broncos can rally and prove the doubters wrong, but for now, Walters is focused on the task at hand.
