The Manly Sea Eagles have issued a crucial injury update on a quintet of their players in preparation for their upcoming clash with the Canberra Raiders on Saturday afternoon.

In an announcement filled with sporting analogies and cliches, the Head Physiotherapist, Chris Bailey, laid out the current status and projected return timelines for Josh Aloiai, Tolutau Kouka, Aaron Schoupp, Matthew Lodge, and Jake Arthur.

Having sustained a knee injury during their bout against the Sydney Roosters in Round 21, Aloiai is putting in the hard yards in rehab both on the field and in the gym.

The Sea Eagles faithful can expect the tough forward to make a triumphant return next week when they take on the New Zealand Warriors.

In a promising development, Kouka is also on the road to recovery and could potentially make his comeback either against the Warriors or in the following match.

The team's spirits will most certainly be lifted as they welcome back this key player to training this week.

Unfortunately, the news is not as bright for Aaron Schoupp, who is facing the tough blow of missing the remainder of the season due to a shoulder injury that required surgery last week.

The Sea Eagles will have to dig deep and rally together in the absence of this talented outside back.

With these updates in mind, the Manly Sea Eagles are gearing up to face off against the Canberra Raiders with determination and grit as they aim to secure a victory and soar to new heights in the NRL standings.
